The 2.5-mile Heritage Nature Trail starts at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center. The trail is filled with history of the area and features interpretive signage that will help visitors learn about the wildlife that inhabit the area. There are several lookout towers and boardwalks adjacent to Lake Cadillac. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are allowed on this trail, weather permitting.
