A mix of pines, hardwoods. and open meadows Apple trees are remnants of an old farmstead. Views of Lake Charlevoix are found at the highest points of the land. Part of the preserve is found within Boyne City limits. Two miles of trails include old two-track roads as well as single tracks and are groomed for cross-country skiing by a volunteer.
