This amazing pathway has over a 70 miles that loop through Michigan’s beautiful northern Lower Peninsula forests. Traversing through Elk viewing and remote wilderness areas, it is designed to provide the more enthusiastic backpacker with about one week of high quality outdoor adventure. Terrain ranges from hard, hilly and steep areas to moderate flat and sometimes wet areas. Each of the sections provide different activity opportunities, including hiking, biking and cross-country skiing.
