The Fruithaven Nature Preserve is 176 acres of northern woodlands along the north side of Heron Road, and it is part of larger 551 acre area that is being preserved by the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy.
Off the beaten path, Fruithaven offers an escape to nature, where its trail winds through the forest just north of Upper Herring Lake, following a ridge line and a valley below.
